The contest

#PanAmericanSong is an online spin-off of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is intended to promote and share quality music from new and emerging artists in North America, South America, and the Caribbean.

The contest began as a web poll in 2016 where more than 100  votes were cast. In 2017, the contest became more elaborated with videos, playlists and the introduction of a jury composed of musicians from all over the world. A total of 381 votes were cast and the multimedia content received more than 300 views on YouTube. For the 2018 edition, an open call for songs was introduced and sponsors offering a prize, thanks to the engagement of the participating artists and their fans.

This contest is meant to transition to a real life extravaganza in the years to come.
